4th November 1987 : Sousa scores a beautiful free-kick against Real but it will not be enough for the European champion to go further in this 1987-1988 European Cup.
January 1988 : Sousa secures the European Supercup win at home against Ajax, 1-0. The Dragoes had already won on the same score in Amsterdam thanks to Rui Barros, three days before his 22 years (the game was played on the 21 November '87).
