Next Month Program (+ Index of Players)

New : constantly updated list here.

Next month, it will be more about French Football. But still, it will much be about the European Cups with one quite important topic. Without forgetting the player's statistics and more as for example that never published anywhere before lookalike and other things.

As a reminder, there is already 36 player's records of matches and goals in the European Cups that are only available here, not on rsssf.com into that section I talked about at the opening of this blog. Hopefully they will leave me some work to do in the next weeks/ months.

Here is the list of the players:
Lionel Messi & Cristiano Ronaldo
Arjen Robben & Franck Ribéry
Karim Benzema & Samir Nasri
Thomas Hässler & Andreas Möller
Valdo & Rai
Kaka & Neymar
Lisandro Lopez & Lucho Gonzales
Stojkovic, Savicevic, Pancev and Prosinecki
Wesley Sneijder & Bastian Schweinsteiger
Dimitar Berbatov & Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Bobby Charlton & Georgie Best
Diego Armando Maradona & Ruud Dil Gullit
Yaya Touré & Juan Sebastian Veron
Bryan Robson & Cesc Fabregas
Frank Vercauteren & Gil Rui Barros
Kevin Keegan & Steve Heighway
Cliff Jones & Gareth Bale

18 who are "more of today" and 18 who are "more of yesterday", I'd say (and  it was not calculated...).

And a good handful of new ones to be posted very soon. More "vintage ones".

If any question on how to read stats, the abbrevations and all, it is explained into that early post in French and in English. Or in English then in French.

Notes:

- Between  brackets: substitutes who have come into play.
-  Player A/ B is used when there was only a few of changes in a starting lineup for a Final that has been replayed.
- The teams that have (more or less)  followed the tradition of the WM formation mould can have a withdrawn CF.
- for Kiev 85, when Zavarov takes the centre, Blokhin turns in an typical outside-right.
- Bratislava played dressed all in white.
- Manchester City was wearing a striped jersey scarlet and black.
- Anderlecht played in white in 76 and 78.
- Hamburg played in red in 77.
- Seguin in 74 is more of "winger" behind the front-two when Haan, in 76 is more of a withdrawn centre-forward. And Nielsen, still for Anderlecht but in 78 is a bit a mix of the two.
- and finally, for Barcelona 79 and 82, J. Sanchez and T. Sanchez is the same player: it's José 'Tente' Sanchez. I could "correct it" later choosing a single way to write his name.
