Scottish Clubs in the European Cups Last-four

25th  May 1967, Celtic will become the first British club to win the European Cup


1956 : Semi-finalist of the E1, Hibernian.
1960 : Semi-finalist of the E1, Rangers.
1961 : Runner-up of the E2, Rangers + Semi-finalist of the E3, Hibernian.
1963 : Semi-finalist of the E1, Dundee FC.
1964 : Semi-finalist of the E2, Celtic.
1966 : Semi-finalist of the E2, Celtic.
1967 : Winner of the E1, Celtic + Runner-up of the E2, Rangers + Semi-finalist of the E3, Kilmarnock.
1968 : Semi-finalist of the E3, Dundee FC.
1969 : Semi-finalist of the E2, Dunferlmine + Semi-finalist of the E3, Rangers.
1970 : Runner-up of the E1, Celtic.
1972 : Winner of the E2, Rangers + Semi-finalist of the E1, Celtic.
1974 : Semi-finalist of the E1, Celtic.
1983 : Winner of the E2, Aberdeen.
1984 : Semi-finalist of the E1, Dundee Utd + Semi-finalist of the E2, Aberdeen.
1987 : Runner-up of the E3, Dundee Utd.
1993 : Semi-finalist of the E1, Rangers (as 2nd of their group).
2003 : Runner-up of the E3, Celtic.
2008 : Runner-up of the E3, Rangers.


After the European Cup final win of Celtic captained by McNeill in '67, against Inter Milan, the Rangers of John Greig would lift the Cup Winners Cup trophy in '72 after they beat Dynamo Moscow. A feat that would be repeated in '83 by Aberdeen of Willie Miller, for a real triumph over Real Madrid.
